Our Hajj to the Holy City…

Not only has tKO grown to 20 competitors, but we’re now bringing in people from all over the country. With only 27 days (4 hours, 39 minutes, 5 seconds, 4 seconds, 3….), I figure we get some dialog started on the logistics of this whole thing. By my count and assuming Shane is flying in and out of Chicago, we have 12 guys going to Mecca out of the Chi and 13 coming home. Ian is flying into the D and riding over with the Jamesi, but flying out of O’Hare. I’m going to guess we need 4 cars (or 3 SUVs) since we have to tote everyone’s clubs and losing B.M.F.D. outfits. I’m leaving super early with Ben and Bryce in my piece of shit, so that leaves 9 guys left. Any volunteers? Remember, we need to make sure we have room to get Ian back to Chicago on Sunday.

Our first tee time is at 1:30 EST, but I would recommend getting there around 12:30 to warm up, eat something, and dick around with everyone. I’m pretty sure you can check in to the hotel beforehand if you want, but you don’t need to, I’ll have the golf passes and everything set up for you when you arrive at Cobblestone. Keep in mind, Chicago heads, that we lose an hour going to Indiana, along with our dignity, so make sure you are factoring that into your time. Also, I know we had some issues with Subterreanian Mark’s GPS finding this place in a timely manner last year, so you might want to get some second opinions on how to get there.

You guys can figure out what time you want to meet up and leave later, but let’s figure out who’s driving/riding with whom, in case we need to get Keith to ask his mommy for their minivan again this year. Speak up in the comments below.

So the best map you can find was from the University of Alabama? Are you sure all the states are represented?

  3. Ian says:

Thanks in advance for looking for a ride back to o’hare.

Any suggestions as to how to acclimate my body to that ridiculous weather in the Midwest? I hatentonuse weather as an excuse for poor golf, but …

I don’t have a great view of the map on my phone but I can tell that you forgot Danny’s travel line to K-Ville from Vegas.

Oh yeah, if my car decides to start on 5/20, I can take 3 others from Chi.

My Mom does not have a mini van, she has a Sebring convertible thank you very much.
